THIS IS A CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Subject to the membership supporting the proposed By Law #2, without amendment, It is conceivable that at the upcoming AGM we could be holding elections for all 13 COA board member positions:
Executive/Directors:
· President
· First Vice-President
· Second Vice-President
· Secretary
· Treasurer
· First Command Grouping-Four (4) Directors elected from Corporate Services Command and Field Operations Command
· Second Command Grouping-Four (4) Directors elected from Investigations and Organized Crime Command and Traffic Safety and Operational Support Command
If the membership wish to support the By Law, however with amendment to revert to the existing Director structure, we will be holding our regular election cycle as follows:
Executive/Directors:
· President
· Second Vice-President
· Secretary
· East Director
· Northwest Director
· Special Services
In either scenario, there will be many positions up for election this year. In an attempt to expedite that process, please distribute this call for nominations. Please note that any regular member may nominate a regular member to serve as an Executive Officer or Director. Such nominations shall be submitted to the Secretary before the AGM, however nominations can still be accepted from the floor at the AGM.
