  2. The OPPA Collective Agreement, which we have a ‘Me Too’ clause with, has a raise of 1% in July 2021. Please see the attached the salary grid.

Please see the 2019-2022 Commissioned Officers Salary document in the New Member Information section of the website.

Benefits

A number of our members have expressed some concern around the administration of benefits. The COA has been working with the OPPA and Target to resolve some of these issues.  If there ever is a dispute with a benefits claim, please contact Target to advocate on your behalf, as opposed to contacting Canada Life.  Here is the information you will require:

Target Benefit Administrators (Target) has been administering the benefits on behalf of the OPPA/COA since 2009.

When to contact Target:

·       OPP and OPPA/COA Insurance inquiries such as:

o   Review insurance options, i.e. Life, AD&D, Critical Illness

o   Life events (birth/adoption, start or end of marriage/common-law relationship, death of a dependent)

o   Confirmation of insurance letters, which includes the named beneficiaries

·       Health and Dental Benefits inquiries such as:

o   Coverage, claim submission requirements, predetermination process, or a claim that has been denied, issues with the carrier, Canada Life

o   Coordination of benefits

Contact Target 1-888-660-6055 toll free, or 1-416-740-1335, or by email [email protected].

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact any member of your COA Executive or your COA Director.

Thank you,

Steve
